Wanderlust at the Fillmore!
File 855

Imagine hundreds of people practicing yoga in the venue that launched artists like Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead. Wanderlust will be staging a festival teaser on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco. Wanderlust at the Fillmore will recreate the spirit of the summer festival on an intimate scale.  The all-day & night event will be filled with yoga, music, hooping, juggling, poi, flow arts, community and fun.  Yoga teachers include Shiva Rea, Yoga Tree's Janet Stone and Kula Yoga's Schuyler Grant. The music line-up will be led by Rupa & the April Fishes, DJ Dragonfly and MC Yogi.  Tickets are $25 (music only) and $55 (yoga + music) and go on sale March 14, 2010 here.

Advance 2010 Tickets Available Now!

We're proud to announce that advance-priced tickets to Wanderlust 2010 are available now.  You can also check out the music and yoga lineups, which were announced earlier today.

We’re thrilled to be back at Squaw Valley USA for another year. This year’s event will build upon the biggest successes of Wanderlust 2009 and incorporate exciting new elements.  Our guiding principle in creating this year’s event is union -- which of course is what yoga means. How do we bring experiences, ideas and people together? How do we find union between the body and the spirit, between yoga and music, between idealism and a good old-fashioned dance party?  This has been our lens.

We’ve laid out the event to create even greater community -- both on our beautiful premises and in the virtual world. While music will be weaved into the entirety of the event, we’ve focused our big acts at night, when people are ready to come together and get down. In an attempt to merge the yoga experience with our incredible natural setting, Wanderlust also will build additional unique tents and domes around the mountain that will serve as transcendent practice spaces.

To make Wanderlust a true family event, we are launching a kids program with yoga classes, music, arts and crafts (and even some babysitting services ;-). Also be sure to check out the wine tastings and the food & wine pairings event that we will announce on Saturday night. You can expect improved food options throughout the village and in our Wanderlust organic food co-op.

Wanderlust is also a day longer this year, starting Thursday morning. Many of you may be traveling a good ways to come to Wanderlust, and we want to give you the opportunity to take your time, get relaxed, and take advantage of the incredible natural surroundings. Take a hike, go to the lake, or join Shiva Rea on her rafting trip Thursday afternoon.

We could talk about the event forever but a picture is worth a thousand words (or in this case a video). The two beautifully produced videos on our Videos page, The Wanderlust Experience and Wanderlust 2009 Recap, say volumes about the event.  We hope you enjoy Wanderlust as much as we’ve enjoyed building it. See you on the cable car.

Thanks So Much... We’ll Be Back
We'll be sending out a 2009 recap email soon, but wanted to just say thanks to all the music fans and yogis (and yogi music fans) who made the first year of Wanderlust such an amazing experience. The weather was perfect (well, maybe a bit hot), the music was incredible, the yoga classes were inspirational, and most importantly, there were happy, blissed out folks wherever you looked. Thanks so much to all of you -- we'll see you in 2010.
