Les Leventhal

Share

Les is one of San Francisco’s most popular and sought-after teachers. His classes & videos are filled with basic technique/alignment cues to get your yoga practice started. They are also filled with advanced variations for the seasoned practitioner. The prana comes from within. Be prepared to sweat & let the rasa (the sap/juice) flow freely. Les’ studies & ceremonies are steeped in Forrest tradition, having completed Ana Forrest’s teacher training & also assisted Ana’s teacher training.  Les has also completed several trainings with Tias Little, learning much of his alignment/technique cues as well as gaining a firm foundation in the eightfold path of Buddhism, which compliments the asana practice with a sense of grace & elegance.  Les pays careful attention to weave in the 8 limbs of yoga while maintaining traditional styles and intentions of yoga.

Les’ yoga will give you an opportunity to heal your heart, laugh, cry, dance and just let go. Some classes flow freely, others will explore holding poses longer. In Les’ classes, you have an opportunity to modify and do what you need to do to take care of your practice; in learning to take better care of yourself, you can take better care of those around you -- and they might take better care of those around them. “What I’m teaching comes from my studies and how I incorporate that into my body and my spirit. My voice should only be a guide for you to explore your body and spirit.   The voice of your spirit will speak more clearly than anything I could ever have to say.”
