Wanderlust at The Fillmore

Close your eyes and picture 250 people doing yoga at The Fillmore.
The Fillmore has had its share of ecstatic experiences. The legendary concert venue was the regular stomping grounds for the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Janis Joplin.
Now, Wanderlust adds its stamp to the legend of Fillmore counterculture, bringing a taste of the eponymous Lake Tahoe summer festival to San Francisco with an all-day event filled with yoga, music, hooping, juggling, poi, flow arts, community and fun. The event is presented in association with Yoga Tree SF --- the Bay Area’s premier yoga studios with four San Francisco locations and amazing yoga teachers.
For those who can't wait until July 29, Wanderlust at the Fillmore will recreate the spirit of the festival on an intimate scale. The daytime yoga program starts with a warm-up tag team class taught by Yoga Tree's Janet Stone & NYC Kula Yoga’s Schuyler Grant, followed by a 90-minute asana class led by Shiva Rea that will progress into a euphoric yogatrancedance. Daytime yoga participants will also get a Gaiam eco-tote full of goodies, opportunities to win Wanderlust Festival tickets, and more.
After the yoga program, you can check your mat and pick up your dancing shoes. The night event features musical performances from Bay Area favorites Rupa & The April Fishes and MC Yogi. Spicing the mix will be short sets featuring the incredible beatbox juggler Bronkar Lee and a jaw-dropping hooping expo by Shakti Sunfire. Adding to the ambiance will be mesmerizing flow toy performances, Anthony Ward’s flower sculpture and transformative décor.
Tickets go on sale March 14 at the Fillmore box office and online thru Live Nation.
