Food & Wine

THE WANDERLUST FOOD EXPERIENCE

We've got many exciting things planned on the food front for 2010.  First off, we're proud to announce the 2nd annual Fire & Ice Dinner, a grand feast for the Wanderlust community served at 8,200' at High Camp.  Beyond our community fine dining experience, expect the following additions to the food experience:

  • On-site Farmer's Market selling local produce and locally prepared foods;
  • Working with Village restaurants to design a locally-sourced and healthy "Wanderlust Menu" at each participating locale;
  • Handpicked food vendors will serve quick and convenient organic items like sandwiches, burritos, and soups;
  • Expansion of options for breakfast items and coffee & tea.

WINE EVENTS

Wanderlust will offer a series of wine tastings from Thursday, July 29th through Saturday, July 31. The tastings will be hosted at Kali Kopley’s Uncorked, a fantastic wine store located centrally in the Kula Village.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY NIGHT – RED ROCK TASTINGS

Come join us at “Uncorked” for an intimate evening of wine tasting and music. The Thursday and Friday tastings, which are free & open to all, take place from 6-8pm on the Uncorked patio and feature live music along with Merlot and Malbec from Wanderlust's official red wine, Red Rock.

SATURDAY NIGHT – WANDERLUST TASTING VILLAGE & PAIRINgs

Saturday night's premier tasting, dubbed Winederlust, is free to holders of any Sage, Seeker or Saturday Pilgrim ticket and takes place from 5:30pm - 7:30pm on the patio of Mountain Stream, the event space next to Uncorked. This tasting will feature Red Rock's offerings alongside wines from an impressive list of biodynamic and organic producers, including Calera Wine, Ceago Vinegarden, Honig, Family Winery & Vineyards, Inman Family Wines, Yellow & Blue, Mendocino Farms, Saracina, and Ukiah Cellars. There will also be live music from festival performer Steve Gold. The Saturday event will be limited to the first 100 people to register (use our scheduler to sign up - it's under "Additional Activities").

OFFICIAL WINES OF WANDERLUST

RED ROCK WINERY

Wanderlust is proud to work with Red Rock as the official red wine of the festival. Red Rock offers a balanced wine with a delicate harmony of body and flavor in every sip.  Red Rock's Merlot and Malbec wines will be served at  bars around The Pulse main stage area and in late-night venues.

UKIAH CELLARS

We’re also thrilled to be working with Ukiah Cellars as the official white wine of the festival.  These are everyday wines: crisp, light, food-friendly, and inspired by the Mendocino County community's high standards for land stewardship and maintenance of its rustic beauty.  Ukiah sources grapes from the small, family-run farms that participate in the Wine Institute's Sustainable Winegrowing Program.  Ukiah Chardonnay will be served at all Wanderlust bar locations.
