Movement artist and hooper extraordinaire, Shakti Sunfire, advises "Be you without apology." Catch her at Wanderlust 2010!

What does Wanderlust mean to you?

Wanderlust holds a special space in my heart. Last year I made this festival the first stop on my move out to California from Boulder, Colorado.  I parked my car in the garage of the condo FULL off all my belongings, took a deep breath and stepped into the experience with an open heart and a lot of trust. At the time I had no idea where I was going to live, or how any detail of the move would pan out - but the festival provided more than I could have asked for. Not only was it amaaaazing - fun and fulfilling - but I met my now best friend, my SF roommate, my Yoga Tree family and connected with many other incredible people. So yeah, it means a lot to be back!

What do you dig most about the combination of yoga and music?

As a dancer they really don't exist as separate entities. Both provide fertile ground for self-discovery, shri and joy. Yoga for me is about diving deep into the depths of my being, and making art with my body in that exploration. And of course, music, rhythmic vibration, is the essence of all things wonderful in the world. It's the beat to which I unfold - in movement, in song, in creativity and in flow.

What gets you excited about this year's festival?

The lineup is really mind blowing this year - both music and yoga. The Village Anusara happenings will be off the hook, and of course the chance to reunite with so many fantastic people makes me smile in anticipation!

Three favorite things in the world right now?

San Francisco, dark chocolate with sea salt, the blessing of community.

Something your fans might not know about you?

I grew up an uncoordinated tomboy and don't have a dance background. All this wiggling around is a relatively new phenomena that springs up spontaneously from the core of my being. All things are possible!

What's your personal mantra?

Radical self acceptance is what this world needs more of. Be you without apology.
